Hope you like this post. One of the other stories posted got me thinking. What else was going on in the city? What if there was somting else happening during the hunt?

Out of breath Mark ran down the subway tunnel. Looking for a safe haven. Where had these creatures come from? Why? The air was so filled with smoke and death. Growing up in New York, Mark knew how to take care of himself. But this wasn't what he was used to. He was.... scared. He heard footsteps somewhere behind him. Please.... please don't let them find me. The wall to the left of him seemed to turn to fire, as he was knocked to the ground.
Mark scrambled to his feet, "Damn, what do you want? leave me alone!!!!"
He was greeted by a low rumbling sound, was that a laugh? Before he could run the large metal creature grasped him by the waist. With one giant hand it lifted him to its face. Mark struggled to get free. He didn't stand a chance, but he had to try. Pain shot through him, and everything went dark.
Mark woke in a room filled with other people. Two of the giant creatures where at the only door. He was alive..... how? "Ooh my head. What did they do?" Another man sitting in the room was complaining. "Don't worry," another said. "These ones aren't here to hurt you.?
"What do you mean?" asked Mark. The man looked at Mark, no visible expression on his face. "Its a long story, lets wait tell the others wake up."
Mark rubbed his head, such a headache. "Fine by me, I can hardly see straight anyway."
The door opened, and another creature came in with a woman in his left hand and another two men in his right. It tossed them into the room and left. One of the Guards inspected the prisoners. It found that one of the men had a broken arm. It made some strange noises, and took off its helmet. Helmet.... these where not machines.... what..... they where so large.... and....
This took Mark, and a few others off guard. A woman in the room screamed. Another man found an opportunity, and charged the alien creature. But the creature saw him coming and casually knocked him away, a good 45 feet away. And from the way the man landed Mark strongly suspected that the man was ether dead, or would be without urgent medical attention. The creature made a disappointed sound. And spoke some strange language to the other guard. The strange man sitting in the corner said, "The captain wont be happy, we came to save as many as we could." Mark turned to the man, but lost for words just stared. "Suppose it is time to let you know...."
There was gun fire outside the door, and several explosions. Then the door opened and about fifteen of the creatures came through. They grabbed as many "prisoners" as they could carry, which turned out to be quite a few. The strange man grabbed Mark. He was incredibly strong. One of the guards pointed a gun at the wall far wall. And the others moved away from the wall. The creature pulled the trigger twice and put a large hole in the wall. The creature carried away the prisoners. And the strange man pulled Mark away. "We have to move or you will all die." The gun fire was getting closer, and Mark looked back. More of the creatures where fighting there way into the room. They tossed down several devices and ran with the others, away from the battle. Mark saw another creature running after them. The creature fired multiple shots at the group. And one of the big creatures carrying prisoners was hit. The armor was badly damaged and one of the prisoners was killed. The injured creature tossed the surviving prisoner to another, and turned to fight the oncoming hostels. Mark saw the devices open and begin firing on the creatures that where coming for them. Mark didn't get to see much more of the battle. Three ships came into view and picked up the crew and prisoners.

more to come.......

Jadak 4: Communication Log (Archive #DS1P3P4s)

This was a fun one to write. I hope everyone enjoys the format I put it in. Sorry it is so long and sorry that it comes so quickly after the last entry. I'm just getting really bored lately and this story is in the front of the queue. Also, remember that you can freshen up on this story by clicking on the Sarg/Garg label at the bottom of this post. Thanks again guys, keep on keepin' on.

CSO/ This is Chief Science Officer, Qillus Tann. Can you hear me Jadak 4? Repeat;... (interference) ...Jadak 4?

CommO/ Captain Argus. Incoming transmission from Shuttle2. You wanted to speak to him?

Capt/ About time. Mr. Tann, how are things going?

CSO/ Not too goo... (interference) aulty comm sys... (interference) You are coming in rather poorly. There seems to be a... (interference) ...hear me?

CommO/ Sir, Tann's signal is cutting in and out. Wasn't Shuttle2 scheduled for maintenance due to trouble with the comm system and engines?

Capt/ Yes, but I scheduled him for launch clearance a full hour after the maintenance was supposed to occur. That should have given the repair crew ample time to get that thing fully operational.

Find any information you can about this, immediately.

CommO/ Yes, sir.

Capt/ Mr. Tann, we are getting a lot of interference on our end as well. Are your engines operational? Repeat: Are your engines operational?

CSO/ Affirmative... (interference)... and curious.

CommO/ Sir, the maintenance on Shuttle2 was rescheduled from 0900 to 1100 hours--

Capt/ and Mr. Tann was cleared to launch at 1000 hours. Who authorized the change in schedule?

CommO/ Chief Security Officer Prink. He changed them at 0850.

Capt/ That son of a bitch! Get Prink here right now!

CommO/ I can't, Sir. He took Shuttle1 down to the surface. He took a few of his security team with him.

Capt/ Damn it! Get him on another channel! He is going to spend some time in his own brig!

CommO/ Uhhh... I can't do that either, Sir. I have tried. He appears to have shut off the comm system and has not responded to several hales.

Capt/ What the hell did he go down there for?!

CommO/ The reason he gave in the log is: Recreation.

Capt/ On a desert planet? What could that idiot be doing down there that he can't do on this ship?

CommO/ I don't know, Sir.

Capt/ Prep Shuttle3, I'm going down there myself and bring Prink back dead or alive!

CommO/ Uhhh....

Capt/ WHAT NOW?!!!

CommO/ Sir, all the other shuttles are down. They took heavy damage from our last mission. 1 and 2 are the only ones operational.

Capt/ Aaarrgghhh. (sound of heavy object being slammed.) Keep trying that backstabbing puke Prink and keep me updated. Inform Mr. Tann that we are doing everything that we can to get him back to the ship, but he will have to stay down there for some time. We will keep him informed. I will be in my quarters!

CSO/ Sir, when will so... (interference) ...wn and help me with the engines? I am in no hurry to get off the planet, I just want to know when I can... (interference.)

CommO/ Tann, this is Comm. Officer Rouse. The Captain wants me to inform you that we are working on getting someone down to you as quickly as possible. Someone had rescheduled the repairs for Shuttle2 and that is why it was not fixed. Please be patient and continue with your current actions. We will keep you informed of any status update.

Jadak 4 out.

Emotions Run Deeper Then You Know

For those waiting with bated breath and those coming apart at the seams and even for those just looking to read something, enjoy. Also to anyone that thinks this is going on for a long time...... you don't even know, hang on for the ride. We are still on the first climb of the roller coaster. :)

This creature is amazing. Its curiosity is so… I don’t know… intelligent?

The creature did follow me to the camp that I was setting up. It watched me from a distance for a while like a domesticated animal unsure of a new person. It never took an aggressive stance or looked to be threatened in anyway shape or form. I continued to set things up and move items out of the shuttle, but I always kept my eye on the creature, just in case it did become aggressive. At about twenty minutes after the creature arrived at my camp, it started to look around, taking in the surroundings like a curious animal would. I kept watching him… I mean “it”, but I stopped to keep a better eye on it. It looked, but it did more… it observed. It went from thing to thing staring and… cataloging? I could see, in it’s eyes, a sense of more than curiosity… more like a hunger for knowledge. A curious child wanting to know more about things they don’t understand, if you will.

Then the creature moved over to the opening to my shuttle and I swear I saw it gawk at the cargo bay… like it didn’t expect the shuttle to be three dimensional. It made me smile and then I laughed. I felt like a father laughing at the child realizing something for the first time.

My laughter seemed to startle it and it looked at me with, what I can only call, ferocity and contempt. It then hissed at me and stared for a few moments. I asked if I had insulted it, but it only turned and walked away.

I don’t know why I said what I said. I came down here knowing that these creatures were fascinating, but also knowing that they were not intelligent….

I may have to change my report on these things. This is amazing.

When the Sky Creature Laughed

For those who have been anxiously awaiting and for those that don't really care, here is the next installment of the Sarg/Garg story. I have also labeled all the pieces of the story Sarg/Garg for easy reference. Enjoy!

Roshiss stood as still as he could. The sky creature had talked for a while and Roshiss had listened, but the strange sounds coming out of it’s mouth were totally foreign to him. The sky creature stopped talking and turned to walk away. It then turned back to Roshiss, motioned with it’s hand and grunted some more words. Roshiss found the creature’s use of his hands to motion to him almost awkward. His people did not use their hands to motion or make gestures, they used their head or tail to point, wave or even insult others.
As the sky creature turned back around and walked away, Roshiss returned to a more natural stance on all six limbs. Actually, he kept one hand up for a moment, looked at it and waved like the sky creature had. It felt odd using his limbs for something his tail could easily have done, but he could see the usefulness of it.

* * *

By the time Roshiss had slowly crawled to the piece of sky, the sky creature had been busy moving silver boxes out of the piece of sky. Roshiss slowly crawled past the sky creature and peered in. The elders of his tribe had taught for many generations that the sky was flat, but Roshiss could clearly see that the piece of sky was not flat, it had substance to it. It went up and away and from side to side.
Roshiss gawked at the inside of the sky. If only the elders could see him now! He turned around to find the sky creature staring at him, standing only a few meters away. Roshiss shyly moved away from the opening of the sky and good distance away from the sky creature.
The sky creature made a startling sound. Roshiss jumped from the sudden noise, but then realized that it was laughing. He had never heard a sound like the sky creature was now making, but he knew it was laughter.
“Why do you laugh at me?” Roshiss said.
The sky creature’s laughter suddenly stopped and it spoke again.
Roshiss turned and walked away, fully intending on returning to his tribe, but something compelled him to stay. He turned back towards the sky creature and it’s piece of sky and just glared at all the things it had brought out and placed around the opening.
He knew that he had to stay. He felt like if he left so would the sky creature. Even if he did return to his tribe he would be laughed at and be forced to keep quiet.
Roshiss lay on the warm sand still staring at the sky creature and it’s stuff. His eyes became heavy and soon after, he was fast asleep.

Digitization-ish-ness of goodness... and a little bit of doom.

Anywho the only thing in the title that has anything to do with this post is the word digitization... I had an idea... well it wasn't actually my idea but something that we just kinda brought up one day while playing MOAG, and it's also something that's been bothering me for a while... I AM HUMAN!!!!!!!!! LOL jk..... for real though my problem is that i am fairly new to MOAG... meaning i have played about ten times total and not ten years. I know almost nothing about MOAG besides what has been brought up in the few amazingly fun sessions I have been able to partake in. Basically i have a kind of vague image of the Conar invasion of earth and other small things from the campaign im in but... that's about it.

What I am wanting to suggest is that we start seriously putting all MOAG info into digital form, if Shadowwire permits it, maybe we could go over a different day of the week and have everyone brings their compys or lappys and seriously work on digitizing all the info... if another day is not possible i think it would be cool to take an hour or so and work on it before a session.

I think this would be cool for a couple of reasons, one: There would be no need for the box of death to MOAG, and we could have most of the major info about MOAG on our computers and two: So that noobers like me are not so clueless about... well everything in MOAG. and last: i think this would take a lot off strain of the GM so that he himself does not have to look up every single little thing about everything in MOAG whenever we ask him... also, it would save a lot of time during sessions.

Summed up, i would like if possible to set up a time this next MOAG session for everyone who wants and is able, to make a time to digitize the MOAG. Tell me what you all think! :)

Okay, I've added some runes. I left the center piece smaller for now, because I think it says something about the Gargonan mentality.

The fact the Gargonan have such an affinity for will power, they would naturally be a very introspective race, constantly looking inward. When meditating, it is key to create a mental environment of broad simplicity with an singular focal point within that mental void. The focal point would naturally be somewhat more complex in nature. It is to first quiet and then to focus the mind, to become aware and receptive to whatever you're meditative purpose is.

The continuous flow of energy, from to form, is endless -it never starts or stops, never begins, or ends, never is created or destroyed, but is ever in a state of flux. The Gargonan, of course, would, by instinct, recognize this fact and would understand the importance of harnessing this energy without trying to force it to behave in an unnatural manner, to be one with it, rather than to dominate it. Hence the powerful symbol in the center which is cradled, but not imprisoned within the symbolic, flowing weave around it.

The single star in the center, represents, among other things, the oneness of the Gargonan. They value the society, as a whole, as the basis of society rather than the individual or familial unit -in fact, there is no concept of "family" within the greater Gargonan society. The star in the middle, and the trappings about it, though indicative of many things, also allude to the depth of Gargonans as individuals and as a whole. One such allusion is that the Holy Gargonan is the cornerstone of the species society. He is the source of power and from him, wisdom is imparted to be absorbed and then dispersed from point to point to the farthest reaches of their domain.

Of course the sun, as I said earlier, is also representative of the way the Gargonan view the universe and the natural order of existence as, first and foremost, raw energy. Everything, in its fundamental form, is unified through this one basic principle.., we are -all of us- the same; we are all undeniably and inescapably composed from differing patterns of simple energy.

That's my interpretation of it at any rate. There's much more symbolism in the insignia, there are also certain numerical patterns that are not coincidental. But to lay it out completely would take too long and would take away from your own person interpretations.., what 's the fun in that? :D

What's important, is what the observer gets out of it anyway.

This is an edit, but by no means final. I welcome input and I'm also interested in what the symbol says to you. MOAG isn't only about action and big explosions, there is also intrigue, politics, planning and vision. The story is deep and complex, It's nice if the symbolism can reflect that depth. It's not just another generic game after all.., it's something more.

Now... let us sit quietly and contemplate......, blowing things up!!! Muahahaha!!
Time for a good old fashioned bar-room brawl!

"You're sitting in my seat Klisk!" the diminutive looking human said to the imposing soldier. Unarmed, the klisk turned -his heavy armor, battle scarred and creaking as his rippling neck brought his boulder-like head to bear. When his eyes settled on the little man, he smiled, a broad, unsettling expression which exposed thick, yellow, chizle-like teeth, each the width of three of the humans fingers.

"Shouldn't you be in the nursery with the rest of the children, Pup?"

The human smiled and shrugged, "You should get that out of your eye, you lumbering oaf! You're not seeing too clearly."

The klisk chuckled deep within his chest. The deep sound resonated through the humans chest and into his arms and legs. "There's nothing in my eye, but it is hard to see such a small thing as yourself. Now move on before you start to annoy."

"Annoy eh? I said your in my seat, now I'll tell you what. I'll help you get that out of your eye and then you'll remove your oversized arse from my seat, deal?"

"Nothin' in my eye pup, now shove off."

"You really should listen to me, wouldn't want you to go blind."

The massive klisk frowned, his brow-ridge creasing as his irritation began to become visibly apparent. He leaned forward, his armor protesting audibly under its own weight. He raised a blunt, sausage like finger and put it in the humans face.

"I'm warning you to leave, there's nothing in my eye. I tell you again and I'll be removing you bodily."

"If you don't listen to me, you'll be blind by the end of this conversation." the human said

The klisk leaned in close, the smell of alcohol and spice was strong on his breath. "What could possibly be in my eye, I'm having no problem seeing a, soon to be broken, rodent."

The human smiled and winked. "This!" with that, he punched with both fists at once at the hovering face before him. Two simultaneous blows, one to each eye. The klisk roared in rage, and reeled backward, tears already starting to stream between the fingers of the mighty hands cupping his face.

"You little son of a Gusvane!" it is notable that a Gusvane is particularly unatractive animal which originated on he klisk homeworld; to be called the offspring of such a beast is not very polite. From his pocked, the human pulled two small devices, looking very much like brass knuckles, he slipped one onto each hand. The klisk soldier cursed at him again and putting his impressive weight against the counter top, pushed himself to his feet, staggering a little; he was obviously drunk. "Ooh, you'll pay for that!"

It was obvious that the klisk couldn't see him clearly. The klisk kicked at him with a heavy boot, but the human danced lightly out of the way of the clumsy attack. The klisk lost his balance and lurched forward unable to see or steady himself. The bar was on a raised platform, and as he stumbled from the edge, he lost his footing and crashed to his knees. As he was attempting to rise once again, the human came up behind him and punched to the back of his head, near the base of his skull. with impact, there was a resounding thud and a metallic ring. The device on his left fist still vibrated from the energy release.

The klisk crashed to his face and the floor shuddered.

"You! Little man!" came a reverberating bellow from behind him. "Big mistake there runt!" This klisk wasn't as large as the first, but his face bore the scars of many conflicts.

The human cursed, he hadn't been expecting two of them. He'd obviously overpaid for his information. "Ah, now that was not what it appeared to be, mate. The big guy and I were just having a bit of fun." he smiled took a step back. "He'll be alright in a minute or..," His words were cut short as he was forced to dive to the side, narrowly avoiding the whistling stool that suddenly shattered at the precise spot where he had just been standing. He tucked and had rolled to his feet before the debris stopped flying. There were angry curses from other patrons of the seedy place as many of them being hit painfully by the aftermath of the careless attack.

Without hesitation, three Conar stood and rushed toward the klisk. The scarred behemoth, met them challengingly with a mighty right hook. The largest of the Conar fell backward at the same speed as he had come forward and the crack of the impacting fist upon his face echoed throughout the noisy bar-room. The other two conar plowed into the klisk and they tumbled to the floor in a noisy heap. The human didn't now how, but suddenly the bar errupted into chaos. Patrons, drinking and laughing but a moment before, were suddenly milling and crashing into eachother in various stages of alcohol fuled fury.

"I think this is my queue, gentlemen!" the human shouted amid the din. He hurried over to the klisk and pulled quickly searched through his pockets until he found a small hard-case containing an expensive, state-of-the-art, data-pad. He ignored the other things in his pockets, though many of them were obviously of great value. He did take on thing, however, and he contemplated it later as he sat in his quiet room on the large transport ship, the "Lux", on his way to Koge. The little cube pulsated with energy, though it wasn't any energy he'd felt before. It resonated with his heatbeat and just holding it seemed to quicken his pulse. It felt as if the thing were alive, as if it had a will of its own. And it seemed to be singing to him in silent song.

He sad back on his bunk and sighed. "Why did you want me to take you little thing." He quirked his lips at the thought of talking to a piece of metal. He yahned and laid back on his pillow, he hadn't had decent sleep in over a week, at least that was one good thing about this part of his mission. He'd have plenty of time to catch up on sleep.

He closed his eyes and fumbling for the bed-side table, he placed the cube atop it. Not a very good conversationalist he said as released his grip. As his fingers came away from it, he heard an abrupt and startling scream and a rush of noise. Horrific images flashed through his mind of death and blood and destruction. Through the vision carried a distinct feeling of insanity. An image flashed into his mind of two bloodshot eyes, in a face that was bleeding and festering with open sores. The putrid yellow eyes focused on his own as a predator who is intent of hunting him for one purpose alone, to cause suffering pain! His instinct was to flee as the horror and fear sudden began to build, first within his belly and flooding throughout his body, he was frozen in terror and he had no body to speak of, he was trapped within his own mind and could not escape.

There was a sudden flash and a sharp pain within his spine and all was black.., silent.

Gargonan

Good morning Uber-MOAGers! It’s 3:11 in the morning and I have finally finished it. It’s much too late for a witty post, ripe with pithy remarks and clever repartee. So without further ado, here it is.

We went through several adaptations and revisions of the Gargonan insignia today, but I think we have one that the Holy Frikin’ Gargonan would endorse.

And if he doesn’t.., I’ll choke him with all four of his thumbs at once.., through his NOSTRILS!

…No your holiness, I was talking about someone else! Sheesh, he’s soo sensitive!

So, how 'bout it? Thoughts, comments, criticisms?

Selidor Jezerit

So I've decided that I just post after MOAG sessions. And we've had two in a row, soooo.... Anyhow, the story below is a character I created while the previous session was going on. I just wanted a character of whom I could go crazy with his backstory even though I might not use him for.... forever. All I knew I wanted before I made him is that I wanted him to be insane and to be human. And the best thing I rolled for his character sheet was that he owns a mining planet, yet only has 200 credits. The result is of Selidor Jezerit's story below. As told from his view. Enjoy. Rated Q for some questionably random violence.

-P.

I used to own a planet. No, honestly. In fact I probably still have it somewhere—I can’t really imagine a planet just up and disappearing… though… well, it’s not unheard of. Anyhow, I did have one, and I called it Nak’ir Motiszen. It might have had a name before I owned it, but it’s my planet so I can call it whatever the bloody hell I want. Motiszen was a mining planet; it made me quite a bit of credits because of that. But one day I decided that I wanted to build myself a mech. After all, mechs are pretty amazing, I would look intense in one, and they do a lot of damage. It would be fantastic.

Save for three problems… First, I haven’t the faintest idea of how to build a mech. Second, I would have to get any mechanical parts from a different planet. And third, my skills in piloting aren’t exactly… What’s a good word for it? Ah yes, they aren’t exactly ideal. To say the least, this expedition went horribly wrong and four years later I’m stuck on the space station Koge with only a hundred credits to my name. Oh, that and a planet of which I have no clue where it is or how it’s doing right now. (Yeah, not really the best at navigation either, by the way.)

At the moment I happened to be in a dark Koge alleyway; I didn’t have memory of how I got there, but didn’t bother asking. Ending up in strange places was not an uncommon occurrence for me. The alleyway was extremely dark, looking out onto a shopping strip. The stores declared their wares from weapons, to piercings, to ship parts, to tools—the list goes on and on. And species as varied as these wares were scurrying about the stores. All were intimidating in their own aspect and all were hardened, frowning. I scoffed loudly from the dark alleyway—this existence had made us all equal in at least the one fact that no one trusted anyone any more. Good gracious, what was the universe coming to?

At that moment a human walked by; thin, male, and practically unprotected. His armor was weak at best and the man was distracted with a map at the time. Absolutely fantastic. I crouched down and grabbed the man’s leg, pulling his feet literally out from beneath him, and dragged the poor soul into the alley. He let out a cry of protest, but then he found it hard to make much more sound after I repetitiously slammed my fist into his throat. You mustn’t think too badly of him though. After all, I’m sure I would also find it difficult to yell if I were in his situation. I released him to grab a broken bottle in a forgotten corner of the alley, and he started crawling towards the light at the opening—silly man. I slammed my booted foot onto his legs before he could get too far which resulted in a satisfying cracking sound and then I started bashing the bottle into the back of his head.

Eventually he stopped trying to crawl towards the light.

“You know,” I said mildly afterwards, “maybe there’s a reason no one trusts anyone anymore.” And I ignored someone’s surprised shout (they had just happened to look down this particular alleyway) while I searched through the man’s pockets with dripping red hands, soon finding some currency.

I now had two hundred credits to my name. Today was going to be a fantastic day.

Gelflonquin and her eye...

So I was able to get my tablet to start working, thus, I doodled during a MOAG session. The first picture is that of En'viere's cybernetic eye crawling about. The second was some lineart I found on my computer, I just outlined then colored.
