Okay, I've added some runes. I left the center piece smaller for now, because I think it says something about the Gargonan mentality.
The fact the Gargonan have such an affinity for will power, they would naturally be a very introspective race, constantly looking inward. When meditating, it is key to create a mental environment of broad simplicity with an singular focal point within that mental void. The focal point would naturally be somewhat more complex in nature. It is to first quiet and then to focus the mind, to become aware and receptive to whatever you're meditative purpose is.
The continuous flow of energy, from to form, is endless -it never starts or stops, never begins, or ends, never is created or destroyed, but is ever in a state of flux. The Gargonan, of course, would, by instinct, recognize this fact and would understand the importance of harnessing this energy without trying to force it to behave in an unnatural manner, to be one with it, rather than to dominate it. Hence the powerful symbol in the center which is cradled, but not imprisoned within the symbolic, flowing weave around it.
The single star in the center, represents, among other things, the oneness of the Gargonan. They value the society, as a whole, as the basis of society rather than the individual or familial unit -in fact, there is no concept of "family" within the greater Gargonan society. The star in the middle, and the trappings about it, though indicative of many things, also allude to the depth of Gargonans as individuals and as a whole. One such allusion is that the Holy Gargonan is the cornerstone of the species society. He is the source of power and from him, wisdom is imparted to be absorbed and then dispersed from point to point to the farthest reaches of their domain.
Of course the sun, as I said earlier, is also representative of the way the Gargonan view the universe and the natural order of existence as, first and foremost, raw energy. Everything, in its fundamental form, is unified through this one basic principle.., we are -all of us- the same; we are all undeniably and inescapably composed from differing patterns of simple energy.
That's my interpretation of it at any rate. There's much more symbolism in the insignia, there are also certain numerical patterns that are not coincidental. But to lay it out completely would take too long and would take away from your own person interpretations.., what 's the fun in that? :D
What's important, is what the observer gets out of it anyway.
This is an edit, but by no means final. I welcome input and I'm also interested in what the symbol says to you. MOAG isn't only about action and big explosions, there is also intrigue, politics, planning and vision. The story is deep and complex, It's nice if the symbolism can reflect that depth. It's not just another generic game after all.., it's something more.
Now... let us sit quietly and contemplate......, blowing things up!!! Muahahaha!!
Time for a good old fashioned bar-room brawl!
"You're sitting in my seat Klisk!" the diminutive looking human said to the imposing soldier. Unarmed, the klisk turned -his heavy armor, battle scarred and creaking as his rippling neck brought his boulder-like head to bear. When his eyes settled on the little man, he smiled, a broad, unsettling expression which exposed thick, yellow, chizle-like teeth, each the width of three of the humans fingers.
"Shouldn't you be in the nursery with the rest of the children, Pup?"
The human smiled and shrugged, "You should get that out of your eye, you lumbering oaf! You're not seeing too clearly."
The klisk chuckled deep within his chest. The deep sound resonated through the humans chest and into his arms and legs. "There's nothing in my eye, but it is hard to see such a small thing as yourself. Now move on before you start to annoy."
"Annoy eh? I said your in my seat, now I'll tell you what. I'll help you get that out of your eye and then you'll remove your oversized arse from my seat, deal?"
"Nothin' in my eye pup, now shove off."
"You really should listen to me, wouldn't want you to go blind."
The massive klisk frowned, his brow-ridge creasing as his irritation began to become visibly apparent. He leaned forward, his armor protesting audibly under its own weight. He raised a blunt, sausage like finger and put it in the humans face.
"I'm warning you to leave, there's nothing in my eye. I tell you again and I'll be removing you bodily."
"If you don't listen to me, you'll be blind by the end of this conversation." the human said
The klisk leaned in close, the smell of alcohol and spice was strong on his breath. "What could possibly be in my eye, I'm having no problem seeing a, soon to be broken, rodent."
The human smiled and winked. "This!" with that, he punched with both fists at once at the hovering face before him. Two simultaneous blows, one to each eye. The klisk roared in rage, and reeled backward, tears already starting to stream between the fingers of the mighty hands cupping his face.
"You little son of a Gusvane!" it is notable that a Gusvane is particularly unatractive animal which originated on he klisk homeworld; to be called the offspring of such a beast is not very polite. From his pocked, the human pulled two small devices, looking very much like brass knuckles, he slipped one onto each hand. The klisk soldier cursed at him again and putting his impressive weight against the counter top, pushed himself to his feet, staggering a little; he was obviously drunk. "Ooh, you'll pay for that!"
It was obvious that the klisk couldn't see him clearly. The klisk kicked at him with a heavy boot, but the human danced lightly out of the way of the clumsy attack. The klisk lost his balance and lurched forward unable to see or steady himself. The bar was on a raised platform, and as he stumbled from the edge, he lost his footing and crashed to his knees. As he was attempting to rise once again, the human came up behind him and punched to the back of his head, near the base of his skull. with impact, there was a resounding thud and a metallic ring. The device on his left fist still vibrated from the energy release.
The klisk crashed to his face and the floor shuddered.
"You! Little man!" came a reverberating bellow from behind him. "Big mistake there runt!" This klisk wasn't as large as the first, but his face bore the scars of many conflicts.
The human cursed, he hadn't been expecting two of them. He'd obviously overpaid for his information. "Ah, now that was not what it appeared to be, mate. The big guy and I were just having a bit of fun." he smiled took a step back. "He'll be alright in a minute or..," His words were cut short as he was forced to dive to the side, narrowly avoiding the whistling stool that suddenly shattered at the precise spot where he had just been standing. He tucked and had rolled to his feet before the debris stopped flying. There were angry curses from other patrons of the seedy place as many of them being hit painfully by the aftermath of the careless attack.
Without hesitation, three Conar stood and rushed toward the klisk. The scarred behemoth, met them challengingly with a mighty right hook. The largest of the Conar fell backward at the same speed as he had come forward and the crack of the impacting fist upon his face echoed throughout the noisy bar-room. The other two conar plowed into the klisk and they tumbled to the floor in a noisy heap. The human didn't now how, but suddenly the bar errupted into chaos. Patrons, drinking and laughing but a moment before, were suddenly milling and crashing into eachother in various stages of alcohol fuled fury.
"I think this is my queue, gentlemen!" the human shouted amid the din. He hurried over to the klisk and pulled quickly searched through his pockets until he found a small hard-case containing an expensive, state-of-the-art, data-pad. He ignored the other things in his pockets, though many of them were obviously of great value. He did take on thing, however, and he contemplated it later as he sat in his quiet room on the large transport ship, the "Lux", on his way to Koge. The little cube pulsated with energy, though it wasn't any energy he'd felt before. It resonated with his heatbeat and just holding it seemed to quicken his pulse. It felt as if the thing were alive, as if it had a will of its own. And it seemed to be singing to him in silent song.
He sad back on his bunk and sighed. "Why did you want me to take you little thing." He quirked his lips at the thought of talking to a piece of metal. He yahned and laid back on his pillow, he hadn't had decent sleep in over a week, at least that was one good thing about this part of his mission. He'd have plenty of time to catch up on sleep.
He closed his eyes and fumbling for the bed-side table, he placed the cube atop it. Not a very good conversationalist he said as released his grip. As his fingers came away from it, he heard an abrupt and startling scream and a rush of noise. Horrific images flashed through his mind of death and blood and destruction. Through the vision carried a distinct feeling of insanity. An image flashed into his mind of two bloodshot eyes, in a face that was bleeding and festering with open sores. The putrid yellow eyes focused on his own as a predator who is intent of hunting him for one purpose alone, to cause suffering pain! His instinct was to flee as the horror and fear sudden began to build, first within his belly and flooding throughout his body, he was frozen in terror and he had no body to speak of, he was trapped within his own mind and could not escape.
There was a sudden flash and a sharp pain within his spine and all was black.., silent.

Awesome story there. The insignia is coming along much better too. I do like your runes.
Im going to use the explanation of the symbol in the book I think, if its alright with you. Good story too. Now I just want to know what the metal thingy was? Good read. Nice work as always Kang!
Good post Mr. Kang!
Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed the post.
Of course Shadowwire, it would be great if you used it.
The Cube.., yes.., well, that's another story entirely.., well no it really isn't; it's part of the same story and it is a very interesting tale indeed. I shall share its telling very soon.
I really like the symbol, but I am having trouble picturing it on a uniform or something like that. What were your thoughts when you made this, Kang? Was it for the military or more of a general symbol for the Gargonan or the High Gargonan?
