And the winner is...

Okay, so I'm going with the total bias here, but I think the winner will be...

Painfully obvious...

To everyone involved.

Okay, it's Pablo. I figured he could get some playing in before he left for Deutschland. If that works for you Mr. Diablo, well then get me your steam ID and I'll transfer the free 3 day pass over to you.

Anyway, just got a new laptop today, it's a beaut... but it's not a Mac. And it's running Vista, so there's that. I've determined that Vista is like getting a new car with all the bells and whistles, only to find out that the engine isn't a v6, but a Briggs and Straton lawnmower engine, with an oil leak. Okay, okay, it's not that bad. But realy, it's not much better.

Sweet...

First I want to thank the Academy for this award.

My producers and other fellow actors...

Anyways now to find a computer...

I have determined that vista is good if you like to watch movies, or listen to music, etc. but it is horrible for almost everything else. if you have enough ram, and like said bells and whistles, then it's for you, but it has a little glitch for about everything else.

It hasn't been too bad, really, but I haven't tried to really delve into Photoshop or Illustrator yet, so I'll have to keep you posted. As for enough ram, I believe I'm sitting on 3 gigs at the moment, so I don't think the laptop's going to have any trouble with it.

Now if I can just find a site that streams college football...

Wahooooo! I finally remembered all the correct passwords and gatekeeper codes to manage a comeback! Thats what I get for having so many blogger idents...its hard to keep them all straight. Pablo, if you need to, you can see if my computer will fit your needs. Btw, whats the address of your chapel for your farewell? Call me.

as for vista, I've had too many glitches, even on a really nice pc, to like it.

Whoah now there Squirrel, let's not get hasty. I'm a Mac man through and through, so yes, by simply turning on the laptop, a small part of me dies.

As for vista, well, I don't mind it either way. It's just as buggy as XP is, seeing as I use OS X, and that's what I'm familiar with. So you're saying that Vista shouldn't always crash when I'm surfing the net?

Hey Pablo, find a computer yet? Have a steam account yet? Oh, hope your "farewell" went well.

ah, well I guess that having a loss of macs to use out here, makes me more used to XP, and it seems that every time I use blender with vista, something crashes, and older games like starcraft have resoloution problems too. also, I'm sick of not having enough RAM for things, so I couldn't help, but complain about that, and,I don't have a decent computer to get used to linux on, so that can't fix the problem.
