The Ides of March

Beware the ides of march they say... I don't know who "they" are, but apparently they were right.  I've looked at our blog history, and every year January and February are record months, with lots of posts and comments.  Moral is high, the Conar are relatively sedate, and the smell of cordite fills our nostrils.

But there, lurking in the back, is March.  It sneaks up quietly on us, trying to catch us unawares, and when it does, WHAM!  Spring is here, and no one wants to sit inside and type and chat and MOAG.  The sun is shining, it's warm enough to wear shorts.

Well, I have to admit, I'm rather busy at the moment.  So while this IS a post, its substantialy empty.  Well, I hope you all have a great March, and I'm coming down for 8 days in April, so we'll have lots of time to do stuff then.

Till April!

Lost. Really, I'm lost.

Okay, so I'm flipping through the channels, and I come upon Lost.  I've never really watched it before, but I've heard everyone saying how awesome it is.  So I thought I'd watch a little.  Big.  Mistake.  I have no idea what I just saw.  I know they say you shouldn't come into a show in the middle, but holy cow!  I'm three minutes in and already there's some popup thing coming up saying how this guy didn't know this other guy until 1978, but this meeting is happening in 57, and he wasn't here until later where he saw this other guy born as was told him in 2004 on the island and then he later would marry the dude's mother in 83, but got divorced in 85 when he fell in love with some other chick in 68.  I have no idea as to what the heck is happening here.  And if you do know, please don't tell me.

As for an update, well, I've been swamped lately with work and church callings, but I hope to get back to it soon.  I'll still be down in April, and we'll have a lot to do then.  As for helping out now, as many of you have asked about, take Shadowwire's outline for the book, which I'm using as a basis for the site, and write content.

Anyway, I'll try to get some more done when I can.  Keep MOAGing.

"Good, Bad, Im the guy with the gun."

Ok then... the winner for the weapons contest is... Wait for it... Nobody! yay! no applause just throw money.

I know what your thinking, Bot had an entry. Why didnt he win? Well smart guy (or gal), I think we're going to re-hash this Weapons contest because no one seemed to take it seriously. So get out there and draw, paint, Blender, steal or whatever, a picture of a weapon and a breif description. If you do you will live. if not... Lets not go there.

But on a more serious note... ...

If I did have to choose a weapon winner for the last contest it would be Bot. Thank you Bot for the beautiful entry. It brought a tear to my eye. Also I would have gotten "Honerable mention" for the Picture above. I mentioned "steal"... Well scratch that. There will be no Plegerism here. Or whatever it is I just spelled.
Oh, and any complaints about how Dark my picture is, and I'll have your head.

Status Update in the MOAG Universe

This is not really an official update or anything of the sorts. I just wanted to get people thinking about how far MOAG has come in the last few years.

We started with 1 artist, 1 GM, a few storytellers and 10 or so players.
Now we have a few people that can GM, 3 or 4 artists, several people with story ideas, a crappy programmer (or two... I just didn't want to call him crappy) and even more people that have experienced the game in all its glory.

We went from our little blog being on the verge of collapse to having record postings in a month and hundreds of comments. Also, we have gone from 4 contributors to roughly 14.

Our thoughts have moved from getting together Friday nights to play, to getting a website together so we can maybe get the rest of the world playing... (OK, so we still get together on Friday nights, when we can.)

Alright, this isn't a status update at all, it's more of a Topic of Discussion. Give me some stories of your experience with MOAG; favorite campaign, first time playing, favorite race to play as, etc. etc. etc. Post away people!!!

Oh, and by the way, I am working on the next installment of the Sargonian story. Hopefully that will be done by the beginning of next week. I'll be watching Watchmen tonight and heading out of town for the weekend so I will work on it when I can.

Checkit Dawggs!

Okay, I liked the idea of a basic star 'type' shape. But the five pointed star didn't do it for me either so I decided to tinker with it. So, while keeping to Salvaggio's original creation I did one I thought would be cool. Hope you like. Yeah, I changed the colors too. In case you're red/green colorblind or something. :D
