AlFier

Okay, I did a real quick sketch. This species has been rather isolated from "familiar" species. They in fact have been around for a very long time and have expanded to populate their own intergalactic space. They have subjugated many other species and have an extremely formidable technological and structured sociaty by any familiar standards. They are considered "arguably" be the most power species in their known territory and are quick to defend their space.

They are highly resistant to radiation and contain a complex multi-chambered lung which can extract an amazing amount of breathable gas from even very thin atmospheres, giving them incredible natural endurance and an uncanny ablility to hold their breath for extended periods of time.

The most troublesome opposition to their society is not so much, other races as their own less ruly cousin territories which are ruled via many different forms of seperate governments by members of their own species who are less inclined to accept "big brother" telling them what to do.

There are, however, other species who do war with them as their own regions of space are highly populated with a diversity of species just as our own is to us.

Ok, so im sure your all wondering who won the last contest. Well, Its such a hard decision that I hav'nt decided yet. I know, I know, I said it would be announced Friday, Well it will. Tonight at the weekly MOAG session! (Also I will post the winner tonight.)

I Concur with the Salvaggio

I find it amazing how much talent we have on this blog. We have several artists and writers that are worth their weight in beans.
Unfortunately, we did get to the point where the MOAG blog was being used for things that were utterly not MOAG, but ununfortunately... which would be fortunately, now we are back in the groove of things and it really feels nice being able to create and collaborate on all things MOAG.
I don't know if any of you know how I feel about this game... but it's good. :) I find everything about it fascinating and I know that everyone else likes it to some extent as well.
Now, I know that I have said this before, but it was way back in the beginning of our humble blog so I will reiterate. All of us don't have enough time to do major things for the game, but we do have little amounts of time to do little things. There is also no way that one person could bring this thing about, but together we all can (and will) do it.
We can do this. We just have to make up our minds to do it.

The Book.

I was just perusing the MOAG archives (we've been doing this for a year and a half!) and stumbled onto the posts from last january discussing "The Book".  We were just starting to get interested, and getting some traction on the blog and everyone wanted to start assisting with getting it finished and published, or at least in some sort of bindable form so that other MOAGers could have the book as a resource.

Anyway, I've been thinking that with the recent activity on the blog, the Create-a-creature was a brilliant idea, we should start trying to focus a little more on getting more of the MOAG details hammered out.  So I am now making a plea to all the MOAGers out there, as well as a more focused... request to Shadowwire.  All of the creatures submitted have been excellent, as has been noted in the comments.  Some of them, mainly mine, aren't developed fully as far as skill levels and whatnot.  My plea is this:  Write up an official species description for your species.  One that would be worthy to go in the book.  Shadowwire, this is where you come in.  If you could post a simple outline as to what a species description needs for the book purposes, that would be very handy.  Post your species description up, and we'll start to organize things.  Some of the species are very nearly finished, but all could use just a little polish.

Anyway, I'm going to start, in my spare time, doing the layout for the book.  If you have any suggestions, post them here.

Let's keep up the good work, and not to jinx it or anything, but we're only a few posts away from our best posting month in our short blog life!

Okay, carry on.

Looks like gelflonquin.... smells like gelflonquin... maybe it is gelflonquin!

New species? No, just last time we played MOAG, I watched Dark Crystal beforehand so En'viere was endowed with some gelfling-like traits. First picture's watercolor. I hate watercolor. The second was sketched while MOAGing.

And then En'viere all normal like with my other character Elo'deir. En'viere is a greyish-skined, liquid-gold eye'd, space-elf assassain- and Elo'deir is a greyish-skined, golden eye'd, undead elf mercenary. I find my subconscious amusing. The only difference is that Elo is over seven feet tall and En'viere is just below five. And, no, don't question Elo's getup. His mercenary suit was at the cleaners.

Rise of the Utobiians

First off, this isn't a continuation of the story of the Utobiians. (Sorry!) It is just a regular little post saying that I like them more then the Wargutters. So, while I am still endorsing the Wargutter movement, I am now the official spokesman for all Utobiian kind.
