What do you get when you mix the Matrix, Gulliver's Travels, Phantom's morbidosity, and zombies?

Apparently you get a dinosaurdogmolehorse.

Anyways, this is my species called the Huun (who-en). The idea first came from reading about the horse-like creatures in Gulliver's Travels known as the Houyhnhnms... then I watched the Matrix and they ended up getting sentinel-like eyes. But they look more like dogs to me, and as to the mole part? Well, you'll see when we get to the info. And sorry, because it'll be long.

Species Name: Huun
Average Lifespan: 75 years
Average Height: 4'9" (four legs), 6'0" (standing on hind legs)
Av. Weight: 235 lbs.
Colors: Reddish for the thin and pretty much nonexistant skin over their showing muscles, and dark grey (sometimes with a touch of green) for the cracked hard skin elsewhere.

-they use their powerful frontal arms for digging and thrusting themselves forward while running to gain speed
-the Huun have no lips, thus, their langauge is all breathy with lots of 'wh,' 'ha,' and vowel sounds
-if they leave their underground domain, they tend to go blind and the species will tend to get several synthetic/cyborgish eyes connected straight into their brain
-can use practically any weapon that doesn't require more than two fingers and a thumb (and in their home planet, they have a scythe-like weapon they attached along their arms) but they prefer blades and things that go slashity-slash.

The Huun's home planet, when discovered by travelers, was thought to be a dead planet because everything on the surface was absolutely dead, nothing living in the slightest. And the surface was subject to constant bizzare weather patterns from blizzards and ice storms to heat so severe it caught the dirt on fire. So, the travelers marked the planet and left- but unbeknownst to them, there lived a society beneath the surface, finding equilibrium between the planet's core and the harsh surface. The Huun have a very mole-like society mixed with a large dose of isolation-so they're pretty naive to the surface and ignorant of other worlds.

Now, there's two options of how they become integrated to the rest of the universe, depending on how they'd be portrayed. The first is that the zombie-disease event that was effecting the universe finally reached them (they were protected sometime because of isolation) and it mutated them (either due to going through the dead planet's strange gases and underground chemicals /or because of their genetic makeup reacted to it) into something that wasn't quite zombie but still malicious and they attack whatever and whoever they can... Or we can say that the zombie-disease wiped out a significant amount of their civilization and some survivors went into the world to seek help or to avoid their disease-ridden home.

Strengths: powerful physical attacks, excellent speed and endurance (especially when it comes to running, climbing, jumping, etc.), sharp claws
Weaknesses: poooooor perception, lack of balance when standing on back legs, thin skin is suseptible to acids and poisonous liquids

I like the second zombie idea best, because it fits with the cool eyes. And that it leaves for more characters, and more art for the blog. :)

I might end up entering some space vehicle, because I'm closer to making that than a character.

..Anyways... It's happy B-day for fish, who stole all of the family art abilities... She's getting a fixed laptop. My dad use a system recovery disk... on the old hard drive... after a few trys, he apparently got it to work properly.. and the hard drive shadowwire lent seems to be broken... it makes wierd noise...

..so anyways.... whoever has a decent video card should go to sourceforge, and download cube 2 to try it... it looks freakin' awesome.. I'll eventually try it here on sam's, because it will apparently run on a pentuim 3! as long as there's a good video card.
